JPD seeks members for the African American Liaison Advisory Committee

The Janesville Police Department announces the restructuring of the African American Liaison Advisory Committee (AALAC). The committee will assist and support the department with advice on Africa American related issues within the community.

The committee will be co-chaired by Janesville Police Officer Brad Rau and Janesville City Council President Sam Liebert. The committee will be comprised of seven community members, with four seats already filled. They are: Pastor O’zell Golden, Angela Moore, Jason Davis and Mario Bullock. The committee is looking for three more community members who wish to serve on the advisory committee. The public is strongly encouraged to become involved and active with the committee and police department.

“I’m incredibly happy to see this committee take off.” Sam Liebert said. “Now, more than ever, the community and police department should be working hand in hand. The Janesville Police Department has done a lot of great work and outreach, and I believe this will only continue that momentum.” Liebert added.
