Deputies arrest two suspects for vehicle theft and drug charges.
On Saturday, January 28th at about 2:30 PM deputies responded to the area of Mendocino Ave and Fountaingrove Pkwy in Santa Rosa on a report of a stolen car that had been equipped with a Lojack transponder and was emitting a stolen signal.
Deputies with patrol cars outfitted with Lojack receivers responded to the area and located the stolen maroon 2012 Honda Pilot in a parking lot in 3500 block of Round Barn Blvd. The Pilot had different plates on it than when it was originally reported stolen.
A woman and a man were near the vehicle when the deputies pulled up. They were detained as the woman quickly moved away from the stolen car and towards the man, who was at a nearby vehicle. The woman had the key to the stolen car on her.
Inside the stolen Honda were hypodermic syringes and drug paraphernalia that didn't belong to the original owner. It was determined that the Honda Pilot had been stolen earlier in the morning in the 1300 block of Fair Oaks Ave in Santa Rosa as the owner was warming up his car and left his car unlocked.
Arrested were 35-year old Thomas Dunaway and 44-year-old Carrie O'Donnell, both from Santa Rosa. They are both being held on $10,000 bail.
