Modesto, CA - On Saturday night at about 11:35 p.m., deputies were dispatched 1600 block of Midway Ave for a man who had been shot. When deputies and emergency services personnel arrived they found a man in his thirties with a gunshot wound in front of the Midway Market. They performed life saving measures, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives spent the night processing the crime scene and interviewing witnesses. The victim's identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification and there is no suspect information at this time.
