...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLOWING SNOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKST TUESDAY FOR PORTAGE VALLEY AND TURNAGAIN PASS... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ANCHORAGE HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKST TUESDAY.

* LOCATION...PORTAGE VALLEY AND TURNAGAIN PASS.

* VISIBILITY...ONE HALF MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

* WIND...EAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS 25 TO 50 MPH...STRONGEST THROUGH PORTAGE VALLEY.

* TIMING...CONDITIONS SHOULD IMPROVE TUESDAY MORNING AS WINDS DIMINISH AND SNOW INTENSITY DECREASES.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL MAY BE DIFFICULT. VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED IN FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW.

* AFFECTED AREAS: WESTERN PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND
