Flood Warning until 07:45PM

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Orange County in southwestern California... San Bernardino County in southern California... Riverside County in southern California...

* Until 830 PM PST

* At 524 PM PST, National Weather Service doppler radar depicted heavy rain tapering off across Orange County but continuing across the Inland Empire. Widespread rainfall of 1 to 2 inches has occurred in this region during the past 6 hours with locally near 3 inches. Additional rainfall rates of 0.25 to 0.75 per hour will continue, heaviest in the Cajon and Banning pass areas. Across Orange County rainfall will taper off after 7 pm but additional heavy showers and high winds are expected between 10 pm and 2 am. Due to the excessive rainfall in a short duration the runoff will continue to cause significant flooding of creeks, channels, low lying areas and high flows into the Santa Ana river. Many major and secondary roadways and interchanges are flooded and water will be slow to recede.

* Some locations that will likely experience flooding include... Anaheim, Santa Ana, Riverside, Irvine, San Bernardino, Fontana, Moreno Valley, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Ontario, Corona, Orange, Fullerton, Costa Mesa and Temecula.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ORANGE ... RIVERSIDE ... SAN BERNARDINO

Instructions:

During the night hours flooding is especially dangerous and the depth of water may be too deep for vehicles. If you live near a low lying area or creek have a plan to move to higher ground or evacuate.
