IMPD arrest two men after a narcotics investigation

INDIANAPOLIS – Two Indianapolis men have been arrested after a narcotics investigation conducted by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).  
 
On Thursday, January 19, 2017, North District Narcotics and Flex team officers served a search warrant at 3266 Ralston Avenue.  The search warrant was executed by IMPD SWAT who made entry into the location.  Before the search warrant, the target of the investigation arrived at another property and was taken into custody without incident.  The property was located a few doors down.
 
37-year-old, Ian Henton and 53-year-old, Johnny Collins were both taken into custody without incident.  Henton was the target of the search warrant with Collins being an associate.  A search of the vehicle, suspects, and the residence was conducted.   Collins was in possession of heroin.  In the home and on Henton’s person officers located approximately 3.5 grams of cocaine, 1.0 gram of crack cocaine, 1.0 grams of marijuana butane wax, 15 grams of marijuana and 20 Xanax pills.  Henton was also in possession of $5,670, most of it was on his person. 
 
Johnny Collins was arrested for Possession of Heroin.  Ian Henton was arrested for Dealing in Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.  The pickup truck was seized for forfeiture.  The two were transported to the Arrestee Processing Center by the Marion County Sheriff's Office. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a final charging decision.
