Help with fire safety by adopting a fire hydrant in your neighborhood.  We all have a responsibility in our neighborhood to do defensible space on our property which helps make our property more fire safe, but it also helps the neighbors be fire safe as well.  Let's  include adopting the fire hydrant near your house as well to our defensible space area.  By keeping the fire hydrant clear of snow, brush and grass year around makes for a better fire safe community.  Remember a minimum of three foot clearance around the hydrant makes for easier access.  Call Truckee Fire at 582-7853 for more information or look on our facebook page.
