At approximately 8:24 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2017, a male adult suspect was taken into custody, after a barricaded stand-off. He will be transported and booked at Norwalk Station. His charges are pending at this time.
The area surrounding this incident will be cleared and residents will be allowed to return to their homes.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) Special Weapons Team has responded to the 9900 block of Bona Vista Lane, unincorporated Whittier, to assist Norwalk Sheriff’s Station deputies regarding an Armed Barricaded Suspect.
Special Enforcement Bureau deputies have assumed command of the tactical response and Crisis Negotiation Team personnel are on scene to bring the situation to a peaceful resolution.
Surrounding homes have been evacuated for the safety of the residents.
