This alert is to provide information about police activity in Burr Ridge earlier this morning. Residents may have seen a lot of police activity or heard a helicopter over their homes. 

At approximately 1 am, the Illinois State Police were chasing a vehicle on I-55. The occupants were alleged to have been involved in a shooting in Chicago. The suspects abandoned their vehicle on the interstate and they fled on foot into the Harvester Park area of Burr Ridge. 

Burr Ridge, Willowbrook, and other Police Officers from multiple surrounding jurisdictions captured two of the suspects near Harvester Park. A third suspect was not located, but was last tracked near County Line Road and Veterans Blvd. We do not believe the third suspect is still in the area. However, residents are asked to immediately report any suspicious people or activity to the police by calling 9-1-1.
