Detectives arrest an alleged Milwaukee homicide suspect in Indianapolis 
INDIANAPOLIS - Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Violent Crimes Unit and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force arrest a man wanted out of Milwaukee for homicide.
Detectives were able to track the suspect, 24-year-old Vernon Nevlis, to the 1000 block of John Jay Dr. were he was arrested inside a car without incident. IMPD homicide detectives recovered potential evidence, along with a handgun. Detectives with the Milwaukee Police Department are in Indianapolis and will begin the process of extraditing Nevlis back to Milwaukee. He is currently being held in the Marion County Jail.
This is another example of the collaborative effort by law enforcement to apprehend criminals, even across state borders.
