UPDATE: The suspect in the original traffic collision returned to the scene and has been identified. CHP is the investigating agency.
There is no new information on the injured officer at this time. He remains in critical but stable condition.
PREVIOUS RELEASE: A Pomona Motor Officer was responding to a Fatal Hit & Run Traffic Collision that occurred at 2200 N. Garey Ave. at approx. 6:35am.
The Motor officer was involved in a separate collision in the 1400 Blk of N. Garey Ave. The officer was critically injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Please avoid those areas as Garey Ave is closed in both directions.
