The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory in effect until midnight tonight. Another round of strong southerly winds is expected with gusts between 20 and 35 MPH. Given already saturated soils, the threat for downed trees and power lines exists. Stay away from downed power lines and use extreme caution while driving, especially in high profile vehicles (any vehicle that has a large surface area that can be exposed to cross winds is a high profile vehicle - semi trucks with light trailers, vans, SUVs and light trucks). If you encounter a downed power line, do not approach call 9-1-1. If at all possible, stay off the roads.
