WHERE: 3900 and 2900 Blocks of Broad

WHEN: January 9, 2017 between 7:40 PM and 8:29 PM

On January 9, 2017 between 7:40 pm and 8:29 pm, San Luis Obispo police officers responded to two reports of thefts from commercial businesses on Broad Street.

The first was at 3910 Broad, Big 5, where a male suspect entered the business stole a pair of shoes and left the business. The suspect was described as a white male adult, 30 years, approximately 6-01, with neck tattoos wearing a red “Angels” sweatshirt, and a blue baseball cap.

The suspect was last seen leaving the area in a silver or white sedan unknown license plate.

Officers reviewed the store’s surveillance video and still photos of the suspect are included below.

A short time later, a second theft occurred at 2950 Broad, Staples. Based on a witness description of the suspect and proximity to the earlier theft, officers believe the same suspect is responsible. The loss was computer equipment.

The suspect also fled the area in a silver or white sedan.

The San Luis Obispo Police department is asking anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect involved in these thefts to notify them. Crime Stoppers can also be notified and your identity can remain anonymous.
