Heavy rain and storm advisory in effect for next few days causing possible floods. Drive safe and prepare accordingly.

The San Rafael Police Department would like to inform you that your area will be impacted by a significant winter storm beginning Saturday afternoon and lasting over the next couple of days. Heavy rains and high winds will likely result in area flooding, downed trees, downed power lines, power outages and road closures. Please monitor local media for warnings and be prepared for power outages and flooding. For your safety please abide by all road closures, do not attempt to cross flooded areas, stay away from swift moving water and downed power lines. We will notify you as conditions change.
