Ontario Detectives are asking for the public’s help with a parental abduction investigation from 9 years ago

Ontario Police Detectives are asking for the public’s help with a parental abduction investigation that began more than nine years ago. Detectives have exhausted all investigative leads in this case and hope the public can help generate new leads in an effort to locate the missing children.

On October 21, 2007, Griselda Gonzalez Flores brought her two small children to the Ontario Police Department to exchange custody with her estranged husband, Francisco Flores. The children, Tammy Flores (3 years old at the time of incident) and Diego Flores (2 years old at the time of incident) were to spend the week with their father (Francisco) and then be returned to Griselda (per the court custody order). The following day, Griselda attempted to call Francisco to check on the welfare of the children. The call did not go through and the phone appeared to be turned-off. Griselda tried several additional calls throughout the week, but the phone was still turned-off.

Francisco Flores failed to return the children back to Griselda as required and a police report was completed. Detectives learned that Francisco Flores had secretly refinanced his home and sold his car, receiving more than $100, 000.00 in cash just days prior. Griselda returned to court and was granted full custody of the children. Griselda has not seen or heard from her children since the day she exchanged custody with Francisco more than 9 years ago.

The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has issued a $1,000,000.00 warrant for the arrest of Francisco Flores; charging him with kidnapping and child abduction of Tammy and Diego Flores. Francisco Flores is a 42-year-old Hispanic male, 6’00”- 210 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a mole on each cheek and under his nose.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has prepared age-progression photographs of Tammy Flores (age progressed to 9 years old) and Diego Flores (age progressed to 7 years old). (Attached)
