The Marietta Police Department is commending Officer Paul Hill and Mr. Gary Martin Hays and their commitment to improving the safety and education of our elementary school children. Officer Hill has been aggressively promoting the radKIDS® program within our city schools. He set a goal of teaching this program to every child inside the City’s school system.
radKIDS® Curriculum topics include:

• Bullying Prevention Program: "Taught Through the Eyes of a Child"
• Preventing/Stopping Predator Tricks including Physical Resistance Strategies
• Internet Safety
• Personal Touch and Personal Space Safety
• Home, School, Out & About Safety (Parks, Fairs, Playgrounds, Beaches, Stores, Malls) all Through the Eyes of the Child

After researching the possibilities and logistics of teaching this program to every child, Officer Hill determined he needed a donation from the community to host a train-the-trainer course for all Physical Education teachers within the city. After an explanation into the benefits of this program; Mr. Hays, in conjunction with Keep Georgia Safe, quickly agreed to donate the full amount needed to fund the program for the Marietta City Schools.  His generous donation will ensure all employees are certified and able to teach at their respective school.  We expect certification of the teachers to take place this summer and implementation of the program into the curriculum in the fall of 2017.
 
We are honored to announce Officer Hill’s accomplishment and his ability to set an example of building relationships within our community. He has strengthened the safety and education of our children.
