Modesto Man Identified as Victim in Thursday Evening Homicide 
Modesto CA – Detectives continue to investigate the stabbing death of a Modesto man on Thursday evening.
On 12-29-16 at approximately 6:45 p.m., deputies responded to the Budget Motel located at 581 S. 9th Street in Modesto for a 911 call of a man that had been stabbed. When deputies and emergency medical personnel arrived they found 49 year-old Otis Thomas of Modesto with a stab wound. Thomas was transported to the emergency room where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Detectives are working to piece together what led up to Thomas being stabbed. They have not found a motive and there is no suspect information at this time.
