Jenny Lind Shooting-Update
The Calaveras County Coroner’s Office has identified the 31 year old shooting victim as Jeremiah Nathaniel James of Valley Springs. Detectives learned of an alleged quarrel that occurred on the 9000 block of Scenic Valley Drive prior to the shooting between Jeramiah James and 36 year old Jason Robert William McVey. Jason McVey has been identified as the alleged shooter. Jason McVey has been booked into the Calaveras County Jail for 192(A) PC, 29800(a) PC, and 30305(a)(1) PC, Bail $ 1,180,000.00. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
