On 12-28-16 at approximately 7:27 a.m., deputies responded to a 911 call of a family fight in the 5300 Block of 7th Street in Keyes, CA. During the family fight 19 year-old Miguel Morales Delasantos of Keyes discharged a firearm inside of the residence in front of family members. Delasantos fled the residence armed with a firearm headed toward Highway 99.
Deputies arrived and set up a perimeter near the Keyes Road overpass and northbound Highway 99. The Sheriff's Office SWAT team was training and responded to assist patrol deputies in searching for Delasantos. SWAT began searching the oleander bushes on the east side of Highway 99 and Delasantos began running northbound toward the Keyes Post Office where he was taken into custody by deputies.
Miguel Morales Delasantos was arrested for domestic violence and negligent discharge of a firearm. During their search of the area deputies were unable to locate a firearm.
