Modesto, CA – Detectives arrested a Modesto man believed to be responsible for stabbing two men last month at a lounge on Oakdale Road.

On November 19, 2016 at about 12:15 a.m., several 9-1-1 calls came in reporting a stabbing at the Shadow Lounge on Oakdale Road. Two victims were transported to a local hospital with stab wounds. Fadi Salman, 35 years old of Yemen, who had been visiting family in Stanislaus County, succumbed to his injuries. The second male victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.

Detectives believe an argument that started inside the Shadow Lounge that night, continued into the rear parking lot where a physical altercation occurred, resulting in the assault and stabbing of the victims. Yesterday, detectives arrested suspect Steven Rodriguez, 24 years old, in Ceres and booked him into the Stanislaus County Jail for murder and attempted murder.
