UPDATE
INDIANAPOLIS - IMPD Accident Investigators have identified the female driver who was transported in critical condition as 17-year-old Sierra Roll. She is still currently listed in critical condition at this time.

INDIANAPOLIS – On December 21, 2016, at approximately 7:15 a.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Departments (IMPD) were called to Brookville Rd. /S. Post Rd. Reference a possible fatal accident.
When officers arrived, they observed a box truck and vehicle crash. The driver of the vehicle was unresponsive. IFD and Indianapolis EMS responded, the driver of the vehicle had to be extricated. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Eskenazi in critical condition. Investigators believe that the individual inside the vehicle could have been on the way to a local high school. Accident Investigators responded to the scene.
Witnesses say that the vehicle was traveling eastbound when the driver turned north onto Post Rd. The driver of the box truck was headed westbound when it struck the vehicle in the intersection. Witnesses at the scene state, that the driver of the vehicle ran the red light. Investigators do not suspect anything suspicious at that this time.
The driver of the box truck was transported to Eskenazi for a routine blood draw, but alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this accident per the detective on the scene.
