The Upper Macungie Township Police Department has noticed an increase in vandalisms of Christmas lights in your neighborhood and we wanted to make you and your neighbors aware.
We first reported (on 12/8) a complaint of Christmas lights being cut in the 700 block of Swallow Tail Lane. The homeowner reported this had happened twice in a short amount of time.
There was another similar complaint taken on 12/11 in the 8000 block of Pathfinder Road. On 12/14, this same homeowner reported that his lights had been cut yet again.
On 12/16, a resident in the 1600 block of Bridgeton Lane also reported damage to Christmas lights that were in a tree.
As we increase our patrols in the area, we ask for the public's help. Please be alert for unusual activity in your neighborhood. While securing your homes and vehicles at night, be sure to take a moment and simply observe activity around your home. Is there an unusual car parked near by? People cutting through private property? Report all unusual/ suspicious activity to our non -emergency line at 610-437-5252 (24 hours a day).
