Advisory

Deputies are reporting that roadways are very icy. Evaluate your need to travel against the risk of crashing.

Trying something new today and are not going to use the "driving levels" just plain talk on what we see.

10:55 a.m. UPDATE...
Roadways have improved just as snow moves into the area. Use extra caution (slow down) if you venture out today.

9:10 a.m. UPDATE... State routes are wet but for the most part clear. County roads are being worked on but many are still covered with ice.

8:20 a.m. UPDATE... County Highway crews came out at 4 a.m. and have been salting, but much what thawed has frozen over and the roadways remain covered with ice. Again, if the salt trucks are having a difficult time on these roads we suspect you will too.

7 a.m. UPDATE.. deputies report that main roads have been salted and are improving, but side roads are covered with ice and are very bad.

At 5:30AM Deputies on patrol are reporting that roadways are very icy. They pointed out that even two salt trucks are in the ditch. Please evaluate your need to travel against the risk of crashing.
