Dos Palos Police Officer Melisa Gutierrez was investigating an unlawful use of a credit card, when she observed a vehicle that could possibly be involved. During the vehicle stop, she believed that other crimes were afoot.
Gutierrez requested a K9 unit. Lt. Mathis and his K9 Yakk arrived. An alert on the vehicle by Yakk. A search led to two approximately eight (8) ounces of methamphetamine.
A search warrant was conducted. During the service of the search warrant a ten ounce package of meth and a 7 ounce package of meth was removed from the air-conditioner duck of the vehicle.
Arrested was Cristal Arrieta Medina and Albert Phillip Cardenas both with addresses out of Southern California on charges of possession of Methamphetamine for sell.
A ten year old female was in the vehicle and was turned over to child protective services.
Police are searching for the whereabouts of Monika Retano who has previous arrest out of San Deigo County.
