PPD Air Operations and members of Foothill Air Support Team deliver toys to pediatric patients at Huntington Hospital tomorrow

PASADENA, CA – The Pasadena Police Air Operations Section and the Foothill Air Support Team (FAST) will conduct their 11th annual Christmas Toy Drive at the Pediatrics Ward of Huntington Memorial Hospital. Pasadena Police Chief Phillip L. Sanchez, will escort Santa Clause and his flight suit clad “elves” as they arrive bearing gifts and holiday cheer in their own special rotor-equipped sleigh.

WHEN AND WHERE: Wednesday, December 14th as follows:
Huntington Memorial Hospital, 100 W California Blvd, Pasadena
Meet in the Main Lobby no later than 10:00 am. The media will be escorted to the roof, where the “sleigh” (helicopter) will land with Santa and crew before visiting the Pediatrics Ward. Contact: Shavown Cox – 626-397-8641

After visiting the hospital, the flight crews will conduct a ground based mission where children impacted by domestic violence will visit the North Pole (Police Heliport). This event will be held in conjunction with Peace Over Violence. Peace Over Violence is an organization committed to serving domestic violence and sexual assault survivors in our community. “We are so appreciative of their generosity and commitment to serving survivors,” comments Peace Over Violence Program Director Sandy Monroy about the event.

Sanchez. “It is our honor as the hosting and coordinating agency, to put this together with the men and women of so many other fine police departments, but mostly it is our pleasure to bring some joy into the lives of the children at these locations who won’t be home for Christmas.”
