AVOID M-52 at Grand River for the next 3 hours due to an accident 
Just before 8am 12/13/2016, our office was dispatched along with fire and sheriff's first responders to M-52 between I-96 and Grand River. A westbound train collided with a tanker truck that was stuck attempting to cross the railroad tracks.
The Ingham County Heavy Rescue was called to assist with any extrication, but no injuries were reported for either the truck driver or train personnel.
Ingham County HazMat was also requested, but it was determined that both the train cars and the tanker truck were empty.
That stretch of road will be closed until approximately noon today for cleanup.
