Press Release: Attempt to Identify - Grand Theft from Vehicle
NBPD Seeks Public’s Assistance in Identifying Suspect
Suspect Description: male white, 35-40 years old, medium build, short blond or light brown hair
On Wednesday, November 30, 2016, the Newport Beach Police Department was notified of a grand theft from a vehicle that had occurred the previous morning. The victim had parked his vehicle in front of his residence in the 1600 block of Cornwall on the evening on November 28. When he returned to the car on the morning of November 29, he noticed that several items were missing from inside. There were no signs of forced entry and it is possible that the vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft.
The stolen items include sunglasses, jewelry, and a wireless surveillance camera. The surveillance camera was on at the time of the theft and captured images of the suspect (attached).
