Bulletin Regarding Egg Vandalism

In recent weeks, suspects have been targeting residences and parked vehicles in numerous Torrance neighborhoods (refer to map in bulletin link below). The suspects are driving through neighborhoods and throwing raw eggs at residences and vehicles while driving past. Witnesses report seeing multiple suspects in the suspect vehicle at the time the eggs are thrown. The crimes are occurring during the daytime as well as evening hours on both weekdays and weekends. One victim reports there have been ten incidents involving his property.

Eggs can break residence and vehicle windows, dent the body of a car and chip and/or degrade residence and vehicle paint. Dried egg can be difficult to remove and removal attempts can also damage the surface involved.

DAMAGING VICTIMS’ PROPERTY WITH EGGS IS A CRIME; IT IS NOT INNOCENT MISCHIEF.
