Deputies recover a vehicle stolen out of Arizona and arrest a man on active parole for murder

INCIDENT: Recovery of a Stolen Vehicle
LOCATION: 400 Block of Acoma Street Needles
SUSPECT: Charles Brown, 46 years old, resident of Needles
SUMMARY:
On December 6, 2016 at about 1:50 p.m., detectives and deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department obtained information about a stolen vehicle in the City of Needles. The vehicle was stolen in Phoenix, Arizona on November 14, 2016. The Arizona license plate information was entered into a Sheriff's database which assisted deputies who located the stolen vehicle in 400 block of Acoma St.
Deputies made contact at the Acoma St. residence and Charles Brown, 46 years old of Needles, was found inside. Brown is on active parole in Arizona for murder and should not have been in California. Brown was interviewed and subsequently arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle. Detectives are working with law enforcement agencies from Arizona regarding the crimes committed in their state. Brown was booked at the Needles jail with a $50,000.00 bail.
