OSBI Fingerprint Analysts Identify Body Found in Kingfisher County

OSBI fingerprint analysts have positively identified a body found by hunters in a wooded area northeast of Waterloo and 2940 Roads November 30, 2016. Analysts lifted fingerprints from the badly decomposed body and match them with prints of Michael Don Lea (3/6/1975). Driving a stolen vehicle, Lea was involved in a pursuit with Piedmont Police officers in September. Officers lost sight of the vehicle. A short time later, officers found the abandoned truck just north of Waterloo Road. OSBI fingerprint analysts also matched fingerprints lifted from the stolen truck to Lea. The medical examiner's office is performing an autopsy to determine Lea's cause and manner of death. OSBI special agents continue to investigate this suspicious death. The Kingfisher County Sheriff's Office requested OSBI investigative assistance after the body was found.
