Sexual Assault - Vista

Sheriff's Detectives want your help in finding and identifying a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault in Vista.

The attack happened on Monday, December 5th around 6:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Grapevine Road.

A 19-year-old woman told deputies she was walking her dog when a man attacked her from behind. The woman says the man forced her to the ground and started groping her. She fought with the suspect and called her dog to help. The woman's dog started barking and may have bitten the man. The suspect started running onto Planet Road with the dog in chase. The dog returned to the woman later.

The woman could not describe the man's face, but says her attacker is about 25 years old, approximately 5'6" tall and weighing between 160 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored beanie, hoodie and pants.
