Police Stop Auto Theft “Chop Shop” Reply with TIP
HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – December 1, 2016 – On December 1, 2016 the Hollister Police Department, with California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the Santa Cruz Auto-Theft Reduction and Enforcement Task Force (S.C.A.R.E.) worked together to investigate a stolen vehicle dismantaling operation.
During the evening of November 30, 2016, Hollister Police Officer Masso was investigating a recovered stolen vehicle in Briggs Alley near College Street. His investigation lead to more stolen vehicle parts at 428 College Street.
CHP assisted with the investigation and the Santa Cruz Auto-Theft Reduction and Enforcement Task Force (S.C.A.R.E.) responded to the scene. A search warrant was searved on the property. Three stolen vehicles were already dismantled on the property.
Daniel Hult, 33-years-old of Hollister, is wanted for questioning regarding this incident.
