Reference: Armed Robbery- Arrest

The Norton Shores Police Department has been investigating multiple armed robberies at gas stations/convenience stores that have occurred within the last month. An arrest warrant was issued by the Muskegon County Prosecutor for a previous armed robbery of the Shell Gas Station, 2628 Henry st in Norton Shores, which occurred on November 20, at 1130 PM.

Today officers arrested the suspect who is a 40 yr old Muskegon Hts resident. This arrest was made possible due to team work amongst several police agencies including: the Michigan State Police, US Marshall Office, Norton Shores Police Department and the Muskegon Hts Police Department. It is believed that this suspect has been responsible for several more armed robberies in Muskegon County. Detectives are working to piece together which of the armed robberies this suspect may be responsible for.

The Norton Shores Police Department is also investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night at the Sunny Mart convenience store, 2906 S. Getty st, Norton Shores at 8:20 p.m. It is believed this suspect was involved.

The suspect’s identity will not be released until arraignment and further information will be released as it is available.
