Police Department Welcomes New Employee

Chief Ed Ormonde recently welcomed a gathering of family and friends who came to the department to witness the swearing in ceremony for Officer Alex Contreras. Officer Contreras previously worked for the Pittsburg Police Department. Officer Contreras grew up in Tracy and attended Tracy schools. His brother is a Sergeant with the Tracy
Police Department.

Department spokesperson, Lt. Steve Merchant said officer Contreras’ ties to our community will be a valuable asset to the department and to the city.
