On Friday, November 25, 2016 at approximately 4:25 a.m., East Los Angeles deputies responded to a local gas station in the 200 block of South Atlantic Boulevard, East Los Angeles, regarding a robbery just occurred call.  The victim said he was robbed by several male Hispanic adults.  The suspects pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded his wallet, cellphones, and jewelry.  The victim complied with their demands.  The suspects fled in a vehicle, southbound on South Atlantic Boulevard and out of view.
 
Assisting deputies saw one suspect exit the vehicle at Union Pacific Avenue and South Atlantic Boulevard.  The suspect vehicle continued on, and was then involved in a traffic collision and disabled as it merged onto the I-5 Freeway from the Woods Avenue on-ramp.
 
The suspects fled in different directions.  A containment was established, resulting in one suspect being arrested.  A handgun and stolen property were recovered from the suspect vehicle.  Detectives are actively looking for the outstanding suspects. 
 
Note:  Earlier media reports of this incident indicated the victim had been shopping at the “Citadel” outlets in Commerce when he was robbed.  The victim had not shopped at the Citadel.  The area where the actual robbery occurred was several miles away in the city of East Los Angeles.
