Montcalm County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a 38 year old Greenville woman for credit card fraud. The victim had mistakenly left her card at an area restaurant in Greenville. Monique Megchiani had been receiving phone calls from her ex-boyfriend from the VanBuren County Jail. She was prompted to enter a credit card to pay for the calls. She had found the card and used it to make payment for the incoming calls.
Megchiani was arrested and lodged in the Montcalm County Jail on felony possession of a financial transaction device and stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent. Her bond is set at $2500.
