Detectives and Fire Investigators Investigate Late Night Fire in South Modesto

On 11-22-16 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Ceres and Westport Fire Departments responded to a structure fire in the 5300 Block of Avenue D in Modesto, CA. When firefighters put out the fire they discovered four bodies in a mobile home.

Sheriff's Office Detectives and Fire Investigators responded to the scene. During the course of the investigation this morning, investigators found two males and two females in the mobile home. Ages and identification are pending a scheduled autopsy on Monday. The autopsy will also provide the cause of death. Detectives will conduct the death investigation and the Fire Investigator will try to determine the cause and origin of the fire.

Investigators are not releasing any further details at this time.
