Modesto, CA – The funeral service for Deputy Dennis Wallace has been scheduled for Tuesday November 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. and will be held at Cross Point Church located at 1301 12th Street in Modesto, CA. Following the church service there will be a procession from the church to Lakewood Memorial Park located at 900 Santa Fe Avenue in Hughson, CA where there will be a graveside service. Both services are open for the community to attend.
For media planning to attend the church service please arrive no later than 7:00 a.m. The media staging parking lot is on the north side of the church located at 12th and Needham Street. If you do not arrive by 7:00 a.m. you will likely not be able to park in the media staging parking lot due to the amount of law enforcement officers attending the funeral. KCRA Channel 3 will be the pool camera for the church service and will have a satellite truck on site for connection to the pool camera. KCRA will be the only media outlet allowed in the church for the funeral service.
For media planning to attend the service at Lakewood Memorial Park please arrive no later than 12:00 p.m. so we can assist you in parking in the media staging parking area on the north side of Lakewood Memorial Park. Your PIO contact at Lakewood will be Stanislaus County Deputy Sheriff Raj Singh.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Major traffic impact will be expected near downtown Modesto as we take a moment to honor the life of Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Deputy Dennis Wallace. The following streets will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Needham Street between College Avenue and McHenry Avenue
12th Street between Needham Street and L Street
M Street between Needham Street and 11th Street
After the service, a procession leading to the cemetery will begin at 11th Street and Needham. All of 11th Street, as well as many other streets along the route in Modesto, will be closed until the last car in the procession passes through. From Downtown Modesto, Yosemite Blvd and Mitchell Road traffic will be impacted.
In Ceres traffic will be impacted on Mitchell Road, Hatch Road, Faith Home Road and Whitmore Avenue.
In Hughson traffic will be impacted on Whitmore Avenue, and Santa Fe Avenue.
