What: Special Victims Detectives will discuss the circumstances surrounding the arrest of 28 year old Salvador Martinez of Maywood.
NARRATIVE: The United States Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force, in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Bureau, have arrested 28-year-old Salvador Martinez of Maywood. The suspect was located and apprehended on November 18, 2016 near Fresno, California, at approximately 3:30 pm.
Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area where they confirmed Suspect Martinez’s identity and assumed custody of him.
Suspect Martinez was transported back to Los Angeles County, and booked at East Los Angeles station. He has been charged with Rape and other related charges, and is being held in lieu of 1,000,000 dollar bail.
Suspect Martinez will be arraigned at Norwalk Superior Court on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.

UNIT: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Bureau
NARRATIVE: The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has identified a suspect in a rape that occurred on November 13, 2016, in the city of Maywood.
Detectives from Special Victims Bureau are investigating the rape of a female adult at her residence in the area of Slauson Avenue and Maywood Avenue. The crime occurred between the times of midnight and 4:00 am. The victim of the assault was an adult female who was home alone at the time of the attack.
The suspect has been identified as 28 year old Salvador Martinez of Maywood.
