Human Trafficking Operation in Antelope Valley Yields 2 Arrests

LOCATION: 20th Street West and Avenue J-8, Lancaster
UNIT: Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force
NARRATIVE: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Detectives and Agents from the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force arrested two men, Wednesday in separate but related incidents in the Antelope Valley. In each case, undercover detectives answered on-line, advertising women on the internet. The men were detained when they appeared to be delivering the women to the location, as requested by the undercover detectives.
Stacey Richards MB/26 of Lancaster, was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking. He was held in lieu of $150,000 bail at Lancaster Sheriff’s Station. The juvenile female that Richards brought to the location was interviewed and detained on an unrelated warrant.
Deandre Arnold MB/27 of Granada Hills, was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, when a loaded pistol was found in the vehicle he was driving. He was held in lieu of $35,000 bail at Lancaster Sheriff’s Station. The adult female that Arnold brought to the area was cited for an unrelated misdemeanor charge and released.

The Task Force is a collaboration of federal, state, county and local law enforcement, social service agency and non-government and community-based organizations investigating and serving the needs of commercially exploited adults and minors victimized for the purpose of sex and labor.
The LA Regional Human Trafficking Task Force brings together systems and disciplines to address the victim’s needs through a victim centered, trauma informed approach. The task force employs a regionalized strategy that crosses jurisdictional boundaries to identify and rescue victims while aggressively pursuing traffickers and buyers.
