On Tuesday, November 8^th, 2016, the North Aurora Police Department received several reports of burglaries to motor vehicles.  In each of these instances, unauthorized entry was made to vehicles that were unlocked while parked in their respective driveways.  In two of the reports, the offender(s) then opened the home’s garage door remotely from the burglarized vehicle.  And in one instance, after the offender(s) opened the garage, they then made entry to the home.  Each of these incidents occurred during under the cover of night, likely after midnight. 

We would like to remind residents of the importance of keeping vehicles and homes locked, and to immediately report any suspicious activity by calling 911.  Anyone with information about these cases is asked to call the North Aurora Police Department Investigations Division at 630-897-8705, ext. 610.  Anonymous tips may be left by calling 630-897-8705 and choosing option 3.
