Water Company Ruse Office Thefts Advisory 
On Monday, August 22, 2016 between 3:30 and 4:35 p.m., the suspect described below posed as a water company employee, entered two multi-floor office buildings in the 23100 block of Hawthorne Blvd and the 3800 block of Sepulveda Blvd and took unattended, unsecured property: cash from a wallet that was in a purse in an employee’s desk and a tablet from on top a desk. The suspect advised one victim he was going to shut off the water for approximately three hours and she should use the restroom if she needed before the water was shut off. He told the second victim he was advising everyone in the building regarding water main maintenance that was scheduled for the following day.
Suspect description:
White male adult, 25-35 years old, short, straight brown hair, blue eyes, 5’05”-5’10”/average build, wearing a blue short- sleeve “handyman” shirt in one incident and a black polo shirt and khaki pants in the other.
Suspect vehicle:
None seen or heard.
