Jewelry Heist

On October 31, 2016, at about 3:15 p.m., the Corona Police Department responded to Superior Market, located at 1130 West Sixth Street, to investigate a theft. The victim said two black male adult suspects entered the store and walked to the jewelry kiosk. When they asked about the jewelry, the employee who was waiting on them opened a display case. The employee briefly turned around, facing away from the display case, and one of the suspects leaned over the counter and removed two trays of engagement rings. Both suspects then fled from the business, leaving through the front doors. Before the arrival of officers, a witness reported to the jewelry kiosk employee that the suspects got into a white van and left the parking lot. The witness was unavailable when officers arrived. The victim reported a loss of approximately $30,000 in merchandise.

Suspect #1 was described as a black male adult, in his mid-twenties, about 6’ tall with a medium build, with short black hair, a short beard, wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and brown boots.

Suspect #2 was described as a black male adult, also in his mid-twenties, about 5’08” tall, with a medium build, short, black hair, a manicured short beard, wearing a black shirt and gray sweatpants.
