Advisory

Sonoma County Sheriff’s Investigators identify two suspects in Sebastopol area double-homicide.

After an extensive investigation, detectives from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Violent Crimes Unit have identified two suspects in a double-homicide that occurred in the 5000 block of Highway 116 South, south of Sebastopol on October 15, 2016. There is also a third victim who is still in the hospital recovering from her gunshot injuries.

These suspects have been identified as Robert Lee Randolph, a 30-year-old man and Maria Teresa Lebron, a 28-year-old woman, both from Philadelphia, PA. Randolph is described as a BMA 5’8”, 160 lbs. Lebron is described as a HFA 5’3”, 140 lbs. No-Bail homicide warrants have been issued for each person.

Both suspects are believed to be either in Philadelphia or the New Jersey area at this time. Our detectives have been in these areas over the weekend and we have served multiple search warrants with local agencies. Both suspects know they have been identified and they are believed to be on the run at this time.

This incident began on October 13th when suspects, Randolph and Lebron flew from Philadelphia to the San Francisco Airport. They rented a Hyundai Sonata and spent several days in the Bay Area and Sacramento. One of the homicide victims, John Jessie Mariana, was from the Philadelphia area and he arranged a large marijuana transaction with Robert Lee Randolph.

Randolph and Lebron met with Mariana on the evening of October 15th and Mariana took them to the Sebastopol home of the second homicide victim, Nathan Proto. Once the arrived, they stayed for approximately one hour. During the meeting at the residence Robert Lee Randolph produced a handgun and shot Mariana, Proto and the third victim.

Both Randolph and Lebron then took a large amount of marijuana and cash from Proto’s home and fled in the rental car. It is believed that Randolph and Lebron took the marijuana and cash to another location for later transportation or shipment back to Philadelphia. Randolph and Lebron left the San Francisco airport on October 17th and flew back to Philadelphia.

We are working with the FBI, the U.S. Marshalls Office and several local agencies to track their whereabouts and capture them. If you have any information about Robert Lee Randolph or Maria Teresa Lebron or have had contact with them you are encouraged to call Detective Jeff Toney at 707-565-2650. If you know their whereabouts you are encouraged to call 911. Both should be considered armed and dangerous. We have information that they have made several Bay Area trips over the last few months. Their photographs are attached to this press release.
