RPD Traffic Advisory-

Riverside Residents,

There is much construction going on throughout the village. I wanted to give an update on two recent developments.

Work has begun in earnest in the area of First and Forest on the sewer interceptor project. The police department has assigned extra patrols at drop off and dismissal times at the high school. Additionally, work has started again on Forest Avenue. Riverside Police have assigned a community service officer when available to be in this area to assist with traffic concerns.

A community service officer has been assigned at drop off and dismissal times to Longcommon, Herrick and Nuttall to assist young children in the area during the construction project which includes sidewalks, gutters, and roadway improvements.

I would like to encourage Riverside residents to be very cautious in all these areas. Traffic may be a little slow especially during peak rush hours and at both drop off and dismissal times at our local schools.

Please allow extra time for travel and be extremely cautious in the construction zone areas.
