HCSO Deputies Arrest Man After Hour Long Pursuit.
<p>(Harris County, TX) Harris County Sheriff’s Office Patrol district 5 deputies have arrested and filed charges on a 37 year old man for felony evading and violation of a protective order after leading deputies on an hour long chase through northwest and north Harris County last night Monday, October 24, 2016.</p>
<p> Deputy D. Hogan observed a tan colored Chevrolet Equinox parked in moving lane of traffic in the 8700 block of Fallbrook and N Gessner around 11:30pm.</p>
<p> The car was driven by Obdulio Mancillas and a 31 year old female was in the passenger seat. Deputy Hogan approached the vehicle and the female stepped out of the vehicle and told him she was being held against her will. </p>
<p>As Hogan walked back to the vehicle, Mancillas started the vehicle and fled entering the E Sam Houston tollway.</p>
<p>Other units began assisting in the pursuit. Mancillas was reaching speeds of 90-95 miles per hour and disregarding other drivers or their safety.</p>
<p>He entered state highway 249 north and tried to elude deputies by exiting and making u turns and entering the highway again. </p>
<p> Mancillas then fled east on the Beltway toward Interstate 45 north.</p>
<p>Deputies were able to disable his vehicle with the aid of a stop strip, and he eventually pulled to the side of Interstate 45 and Parmatta road and was taken into custody with incident.</p>
<p>It was learned from the female complainant she was the ex-girlfriend of Mancillas, and was forced into the vehicle after he followed her to a laundry mat in Montgomery County earlier in the evening.</p>
<p>A good job was done by all responding deputies and supervisors for maintaining the safety of the general public and bringing this incident to a safe conclusion.</p>
<p>Mancillas is currently being held with no bond.</p>
