In our continued effort to build stronger relationships and trust with the community we serve, the WCSO began by hosting a three-part educational series consisting of six different topic areas. During those first few sessions we were asked to continue the series and add additional topics.This session that you are registering for will cover;

Session Four: November 3rd at Washtenaw Community College Morris Lawrence Building (6-8pm) will discuss

Topic area 7 - The Seattle Model of LEAD (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion)
Topic area 8 - The TJC (The Jail to Community) Model of reentry services

Each session will be facilitated/instructed by Sheriff Clayton and will consist of a 40 minute class room discussion of each topic area followed by a question and answer period. If you are interested in learning the specifics behind these topics please join us.

Our Just 'Cause sessions are intimate discussions between the community and deputies over lunch. Our ENPACT workshops are solution focused, all day working sessions between 30 community members and 30 deputies. Our Town Hall meeting gathered over 600 residents in a discussion with community leaders. Now, our educational series will offer great detail to the six most commonly questioned aspects of law enforcement.

"An educated and engaged community is our best partner" - Sheriff Jerry L. Clayton
