Officers Lend A Helping Hand At Clarence Smit Museum 
Earlier today, at the invitation of museum Commissioner Connie Jorgensen, Ripon Police Sergeant Don Luthey and Corporal Ken Husman lent a helping hand at the museum to help educate local elementary school children.
Officers spoke to the children about the differences and similarities of modern police work in Ripon compared to police work in the past. Corporal Husman showed the children photos of former Ripon officers and the cars they used many years ago. The students also saw modern police cars and modern police equipment.
Students from Mrs. Terpsma’s RC First Grade Class asked their local officers a number of very insightful questions. Both the students and officers had a great time learning about Ripon’s history.
