Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the stabbing deaths of a male and female adult that occurred in the 3300 block of Bent Twig Lane, Diamond Bar.

Detectives have learned that on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at approximately 9:40 a.m., a friend of the victims went to their home to check on their welfare.  This was at the request of family members who had not heard from the victims. 

The family friend was able to gain entry into the home and discovered the male resident, 60 years old, Asian male, in a room inside the home.  The victim appeared to be dead.  The family friend went outside and called 9-1-1. Upon their arrival, the Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced the victim dead at the scene.  The second victim, 57 years old, Asian female, was also found in the home and pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to friends and family, both victims lived out of the home, where they conducted an art class during the day. The motive for the murder is unknown. 

A preliminary examination revealed that both victims may have been stabbed to death.  The exact cause of death of the victims will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. 

The identy of the victims will not be released, pending next of kin notification.

The murder weapon and suspect are still outstanding at this time.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
