Police to Swear In New K-9 Officer
HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – October 19, 2016- On Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 9 AM the Hollister Police Department will be holding a small ceremony at the Police Department to swear in its newest member, K-9 Officer Dallas. Members of the public are invited to attend.
K-9 Handler Officer Miguel Masso and Dallas have successfully completed initial training and their certification courses.
The City of Hollister Police Department would like to thank Oscar Covarrubias and the Zustan K-9 Service for generously donating Dallas to our agency.
Dallas is a German shepherd that was named Dallas to honor the fallen Dallas Police Officers in the tragic events of July 7, 2016; Lorne Ahrens, Michael Krol, Michael J. Smith, Brent Thompson and Patrick Zamarripa.
Once again the Hollister Police Department invites members of the public to attend the swearing in of its newest member, K-9 Officer Dallas.
